LINKEDIN RESTRICTED
CASE DOSSIER: AVINASH SINGH
Resolution & Constructive Appeal

What I Want From LinkedIn

I am not seeking financial compensation or attacking the platform. I am asking for common sense, natural justice, and a human review of a decision that should never have happened.

⚖️

The Core Appeal in One Sentence

I want someone at LinkedIn with the authority to look past automated support scripts, review the facts through a human lens, recognize that manually opening 15–20 browser tabs to learn a new team is normal professional behavior, and voluntarily unrestrict my 12+ year account.

01

Reconsider The Decision & Unrestrict My Account

I ask LinkedIn to reverse the permanent restriction and restore my verified account (Avinash Singh) along with its 12+ years of continuous history, recommendations, endorsements, articles, and professional connections.

I have been a trusted member of LinkedIn since 2014 with an unblemished record. When I explained that I manually browsed 15–20 profiles in browser tabs from my new employer's company page, I did so with complete transparency. Rewarding that honesty with an irreversible lifetime ban in 32 minutes was fundamentally unfair.

02

Recognize That Opening 15–20 Tabs Is Normal Human Behavior

Across the technology industry and everyday corporate life, opening 15–20 profiles in browser tabs using Cmd+Click or middle-click is standard practice to save clicks and compare roles.

The Common-Sense Reality:

• How is any user supposed to be aware that opening 15–20 browser tabs could trigger a permanent lifetime ban?

• There is no warning banner, no rate-limit cooldown, and no captcha challenge shown to the user before action is taken.

• If rapid tab opening crosses an internal velocity heuristic, the rational engineering response is a temporary challenge or pause—not permanent, irreversible account destruction.

Viewing 15–20 colleagues' profiles manually cannot reasonably be treated as malicious scraping or terms-of-service abuse. Read the clause-by-clause policy analysis →

03

Evaluate Appeals Through a Human Lens, Not Canned Macros

I ask LinkedIn Support to reform its escalation channels so that genuine members are treated as real professionals rather than support tickets to be closed with canned templates.

  • Respect Identity Verification: I completed three separate government ID verifications (passport and driver's license). If extensive verification is demanded, it must be paired with genuine human review—not pre-decided rejections.
  • Eliminate Blind Macro Pasting: Support staff should not copy-paste internal cheat-sheets (as occurred with Consultant Ramesh S in Case # 260718-010990) or paste identical paragraphs three times within 30 minutes.
  • Provide Clear Explanations: Telling a member to "consult legal counsel to interpret our terms" instead of identifying what was violated violates the basic principles of customer respect and natural justice.
04

Honor the Moral Responsibility That Comes With Being a Monopoly

LinkedIn is the only platform in the world for professional networking, verified career histories, and modern corporate hiring. There is no competitor with 1+ billion white-collar professionals.

Because of this absolute monopoly, a LinkedIn ban is not merely an inconvenience—it is an economic and career excommunication:

ATS Mandate Every modern corporate job application requires a LinkedIn URL. Without one, candidates are viewed with suspicion.
Career Equity A decade of verified recommendations, skill endorsements, and professional networks cannot be rebuilt on another service.

Holding a monopoly over white-collar livelihood comes with a deep moral and social responsibility. A private corporation cannot act as an unaccountable judge terminating careers over everyday tab clicks with zero transparent appeals.

Clarification: What I Am NOT Asking For

NO COMPENSATION I am not asking for monetary damages, payouts, or financial restitution.
NO HARASSMENT I do not want individual support consultants targeted, disciplined, or harassed.
NO BAD FAITH This dossier exists solely to seek a fair, proportionate, and transparent resolution.
